FUNeral or Something later?

Recently  Kris Hallenger he was living with stage 4 breast cancer, planned her own funeral and attended it. On her social media #howtoglitteraturd you can see all her glorious photographs of the event. And it leads to an interesting question?

Would you ever plan your own funeral in advance? Kris called hers a FUNeral because she wanted to be present with all those who loved her and who she loved,  and to join in on all the fun and celebration of her life.

Dawn French attended as the Vicar of Dibley and when you look at the photographs you can really feel the joy and the  sadness in equal measure.

Recently I was also privileged as a celebrant to meet a gentleman who wanted to plan his funeral in advance an A separate celebration of life on a boat. Both events were so poignant because they had his choices and his words as part of them, but also people were able to contribute with their own stories of his life and what he meant to them.

So food for thought does it help us and those around us to plan for a funeral or even perhaps if we know we are dying sooner than we wish to participate in a goodbye event
